NWLC Decries Confirmation of Neomi Rao to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals

The following is a statement by Fatima Goss Graves, President and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC):

“With the confirmation of Neomi Rao, the Trump-Pence Administration continues on its mission to stack the bench with anti-woman, anti-civil rights judges. There is no excuse for the countless times women have been on the losing end of Rao’s analyses – from her destructive words against survivors to her choice to protect the interests of corporate employers over working women and people of color experiencing pay discrimination. Her record is expansive, troubling, and clear. Rao’s replacement of Brett Kavanaugh on the D.C. Circuit is a blow – but for the thousands of survivors who have been watching this process and declared #MeToo, we won’t stop fighting for you. We’re not backing down from doing everything to stop this effort to remake our courts.”
