Wild parties, an alleged rape, and a high school’s troubling response

Fatima Goss Graves, a senior vice president at the National Women’s Law Center, said when a school handles sexual assault with indifference or incompetence, students already struggling with depression, post-traumatic stress or anxiety can deteriorate — and the impacts are often suffered in silence.

“It’s important for schools to get their act together,” Graves added, “because this is about the health and wellness of students.”
