13 more books being removed from Cobb County Schools, district says

This May, the National Women’s Law Center filed a complaint against the school district, claiming it violated Title IX and Title VI, which respectively prohibit sex and race-based discrimination in federally funded programs.

The complaint alleges the school district, as well as one in Florida, censored books and learning materials that “feature, tell the stories of, or are written by LGBTQIA+ people and people of color.”
