Loredana is the Margaret Fund Fellow for Education. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. As a law student, Loredana worked for the Southern Poverty Law Center, Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction, and the Department of Education. She also represented immigrant families and children before Immigration Court and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Before law school, Loredana proudly served as a 7th grade language arts Teach For America corps member in rural North Carolina. There, her students exceeded state reading growth expectations and achieved the highest growth in their school while inspiring Loredana to dedicate her career to advocating for educational equity.
