Caitlin Lowell is the Program Coordinator of the Legal Network for Gender Equity. Prior to joining NWLC, Caitlin was an Emerson National Hunger Fellow through the Congressional Hunger Center. As a Fellow at 9to5 Colorado, Caitlin wrote and designed public education and lobbying materials and managed communications for 9to5’s member-led campaigns for labor rights for parents, pregnancy accommodations, and a Denver campaign to “Ban the Box” in housing and employment. As a Fellow at HHS’s Administration for Children and Families Office of Family Assistance (OFA), Caitlin published an issue brief on enhancing coordination between TANF and SNAP Employment and Training programs and represented OFA in several interagency working groups. Previously, Caitlin worked as a Victory Congressional Intern in Representative Michaud’s Office, and interned at Lambda Legal and the ACLU’s LGBT & AIDS Project. Caitlin earned her BA from Columbia University, where she majored in Political Science and American Studies.
