Amanda Hooper is Director of Engagement and Mobilization at NWLC, where she runs advocacy campaigns on issues impacting women and families.
Amanda is is a seasoned community and political organizer with nearly ten years of experience in communications, advocacy, and building grassroots power to effect change. Before joining the NWLC team, Amanda worked for Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (IL-09), both as a staffer on Capitol Hill and as a field organizer on the Congresswoman’s 2010 re-election campaign. She has also worked as a community organizer, bringing together a diverse, interfaith coalition of congregations to address collective concerns.
Amanda holds a Master of Studies in Women and Politics from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan.
