On September 25, 2017, the National Women’s Law Center submitted comments in response to a request for information (RFI) from the Department of Labor revisiting the strengthened overtime protections established by the Obama administration in 2016. NWLC expressed its strong support for the 2016 rule—which would benefit 12.5 million people, including 6.4 million women—and urged DOL to maintain the 2016 rule in its entirety.
