The Task Force on Federal Consumer Financial Law within the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) requested information in relation to federal consumer financial laws, including disparate impact under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA). NWLC submitted a comment strongly opposing any roll back of disparate impact under the ECOA, highlighting the importance of fair access to credit for women and the impact discriminatory lending policies and practices have on gender and racial wealth gaps.
