The National Women’s Law Center joins a dozen other organizations in a brief filed in the U.S. District Court of Colorado responding to Neal v. Colorado State University-Pueblo. In that case, a student sued the U.S. Department of Education alleging that his school’s decision to suspend him following a sexual assault investigation was motivated by the Department’s 2011 guidance on sexual violence, which the student alleges was issued improperly. This brief supports the motion to dismiss filed by the Department of Education and rebuts the plaintiff’s underlying argument.
