The following is a statement by NWLC President and CEO Fatima Goss Graves:
“The latest Republican effort to score a political win by stripping health care coverage from millions of people has collapsed yet again. Resistance works. Hundreds of thousands of individuals stood up, spoke out, and demanded to keep their health care coverage. We emphatically thank the Senators who, by rejecting yet another repeal of the Affordable Care Act, prioritized people’s health and lives over a cynical political win. We will continue resisting and fighting fiercely against the seemingly inevitable efforts to dismantle the ACA and equal access to health care.”
