NWLC Action Fund Calls for the Release of the Epstein Files
Washington, DC – At 11 AM today ahead of the House vote to pass the Epstein Files Transparency Act, Fatima Goss Graves, president of the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) Action Fund, will be participating in a press conference at the House Triangle with Representative Adelita Grijalva, Epstein survivor Teresa Helm, and other members of Congress.
The following is a statement by Fatima Goss Graves, president and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC):
“Six years after Epstein’s death, survivors and the American people are still demanding basic answers about those who participated in and covered up the years-long sexual abuse and rape of scores of young girls. For too long, wealth and power have deflected attention from the far-reaching impact of this abuse on survivors and protected predators from accountability.
“This vote mattered because the pain experienced by women and girls matters. Survivors deserve justice and an end to the corruption that has continued to insulate the powerful from the consequences of their actions. We cannot allow this abuse to be pushed into the shadows any longer. Our systems must ensure that no one is above the law.”
