Child Care Intern – Summer or Fall 2018

The National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) is seeking interns for our Child Care Group. The intern would be available for summer (May-August) or the fall (August-December) semesters. Start and end dates are flexible. Interns would ideally be available full-time in the summer and part-time or more in the fall. The Child Care intern’s responsibilities will include duties assisting on a campaign to increase investments in child care, working on a project regarding low wage workers scheduling and child care, working on a project related to the implementation of the new law reauthorizing the Child Care and Development Block Grant, conducting research and assisting with newsletter articles, drafting blogs, communicating with the child care field, attending and summarizing relevant meetings, and other tasks as needed.

Students with majors in English, education, political science, pre-law, history, sociology and women’s studies are encouraged to apply; however, all majors will be considered.
