Families depend on women’s wages more than ever, but women working full time, year round are typically paid less than full-time, year-round male workers in every state. For African American women the wage gap is even larger than for women overall, with African American women working full time, year round typically making only 60 cents for every dollar white non-Hispanic men make. The wage gap for African American women varies widely by state.
