Over Time, More People Want Hearings for Judge Garland
A national poll released earlier this week contained several notable findings, including that:
- Public support for a Senate vote on a Supreme Court nominee has increased since Judge Garland was nominated to be an Associate Justice.
- An increase in support for a Senate vote also was seen among Republicans polled.
Despite overwhelming evidence that a majority of Americans – a majority that continues to grow, no less – supports hearings and a vote, Senate Republicans persist in their obstruction. Senators, the message from the people you purport to represent is clear: #DoYourJob.
